Terms of participation
What applies when you register for a viceversa course or workshop — including the costs of postponing and cancelling (section 7).
Version 1 of 9 October 2026
1 Scope
These terms apply to all registrations for open courses and workshops of viceversa gmbh («viceversa»), whether made through the form on viceversa.swiss, by e-mail or by telephone.
For assignments from companies and organisations, the offer applies first; these terms supplement it.
The version valid at the time of registration applies. Deviating terms only apply if viceversa has agreed to them in writing.
2 Contracting party
viceversa gmbh, CreaSpace, Schwanengasse 11, CH-3011 Bern
hello@viceversa.swiss · +41 31 311 95 95 · UID CHE-112.167.216
3 Service
What a course includes — content, duration, venue, maximum number of participants, price and what the price covers — is stated in the announcement of the date. A particular learning outcome is not owed; it depends largely on your own participation.
viceversa may change the course leader and adapt the schedule if the service remains equivalent.
4 Registration and contract
The dates on viceversa.swiss are an invitation to register. The contract is concluded when you submit the registration («Register bindingly»); shortly afterwards you receive a confirmation by e-mail. The invoice follows separately.
One registration may cover several places. Whoever registers others is the contracting party, owes the price of all places and makes sure that the registered persons know these terms and agree to their details being passed on.
If a date is fully booked, you can join the waiting list. This is not a registration and does not reserve a place. If a place becomes free, viceversa contacts people in the order of their entries.
Registration is not possible without agreeing to these terms and to the privacy policy.
5 Prices
All prices are in Swiss francs and apply per person and date, including VAT (8.1 %), unless stated otherwise.
The price covers the course and the course materials. Meals, travel and accommodation are only included if the announcement says so explicitly.
6 Invoice and payment
After registering you receive an invoice at the billing address given. It is payable in advance: within 30 days, but at the latest before the course begins.
Anyone who has not paid when the course begins may be excluded from participation without compensation; the price remains due. After the payment period, default interest of 5 % per year applies.
7 Postponement, cancellation and no-show
Please postpone or cancel in writing; an e-mail to hello@viceversa.swiss is sufficient. What counts is the date viceversa receives it. Working days are Monday to Friday; public holidays are counted.
Of the price of the place, the following is due:
| Postponement to a new date within 3 months | Cancellation | |
|---|---|---|
| up to 20 working days before the date | 0 % | 0 % |
| 19 to 14 working days before | 20 % | 33 % |
| 13 to 5 working days before | 50 % | 66 % |
| fewer than 5 working days before | 100 % | 100 % |
Anyone who does not attend without cancelling owes the full price.
If a postponed date is postponed again or cancelled, the periods are counted from the original date.
Illness, accident or other personal reasons do not release you from these costs. viceversa will gladly look for a solution in such cases, such as a substitute date; there is no entitlement to one. Individuals are advised to take out cancellation insurance.
Amounts already paid in excess of the share owed are refunded.
8 Substitute participant
Instead of cancelling, you may send another person free of charge up to the start of the course. Please give their name and e-mail address in writing beforehand.
9 Cancellation or postponement by viceversa
viceversa may cancel or postpone a date if too few registrations are received, the course leader is unable to attend at short notice, the venue is not available or force majeure applies (section 16). You will be informed as early as possible.
You will then be offered a substitute date. If you do not accept it, the amount paid is refunded in full. There are no further claims, for example for travel or loss costs; section 15 is reserved.
10 Participation and exclusion
Please arrive on time and let us know beforehand of any health or other limitations that matter for the course.
Anyone who seriously disrupts the course or harasses other participants may be excluded after a warning; the price remains due.
11 Recordings and photos
If video or audio recordings are used for practice in the course, they serve the training only. viceversa does not publish them or pass them on.
Photos for viceversa's own public relations are announced beforehand. Anyone recognisable will only be published with separate consent that can be withdrawn at any time. Anyone who does not want to be recorded only needs to say so.
Your own recordings of other participants or of course content are only permitted with the consent of everyone concerned.
12 Materials
Course materials, exercises and methods are protected by copyright. You may use them for yourself; passing them on, publishing them or using them in your own training requires viceversa's prior written consent.
A certificate of attendance confirms participation; it is not proof of an examination.
13 Confidentiality
Personal and business matters are discussed in the courses. Everyone involved treats what they learn about others as confidential. viceversa only names you or your feedback as a reference with your consent.
14 No right of withdrawal
Under Swiss law there is no statutory right of withdrawal for registrations made online or by e-mail; the costs under section 7 apply. The right of withdrawal under Art. 40a ff. of the Swiss Code of Obligations remains reserved where its conditions are met.
15 Liability
viceversa is liable under the law for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence and for personal injury. Otherwise liability is excluded as far as the law permits, in particular for slight negligence, consequential damage and lost profit.
viceversa is not liable for items brought along or for the conduct of other participants. The courses do not replace medical, psychotherapeutic or legal advice.
16 Force majeure
Events beyond viceversa's control — such as natural events, pandemics, official orders or the loss of the venue for such reasons — release viceversa from its obligations for their duration. You will receive a substitute date or your money back (section 9).
17 Data protection
How viceversa processes your details is set out in the privacy policy. The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection applies.
18 Law and place of jurisdiction
Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Bern; mandatory places of jurisdiction, in particular for consumers, remain reserved. In case of doubt, the German version of these terms prevails.
If a provision is invalid, the others remain in force. And before it comes to that: call +41 31 311 95 95 or write to hello@viceversa.swiss.
